Consent to Treat...

Consent To Treat: What You Need to Know?

What is Consent to Treat?

Consent to treat means that you, as a client, give us permission to provide the mental health care and services you need. This process ensures that you understand what treatment involves, why it’s recommended, and what outcomes you can expect. We believe in making sure you feel informed and comfortable every step of the way.

Why is it important?

Giving consent is an important step in your treatment. It protects your rights and ensures that you’re fully aware of the care you’re receiving. Our team will explain everything in simple terms, answer your questions, and make sure you feel confident in moving forward. Your trust is essential to your healing journey

How the Process Works

  1. Discussion – Before any treatment starts, we’ll sit down with you to talk about the services we recommend and why. You’ll have the chance to ask questions and fully understand what’s involved.

  2. Agreement – Once you feel comfortable with the information, we’ll ask for your written consent. This is your formal agreement, showing that you understand and agree to the treatment plan.

  3. Ongoing Communication – Throughout your time with us, we’ll continue to check in, updating your treatment plan as needed. You’ll always have a say in your care.

At HOPESTEP, your comfort and understanding are our top priorities. Before we begin any treatment, it’s important that you know about our Consent to Treat process. This ensures you’re fully informed and agree to the care you’ll receive.
